Food Photos

I like to photograph things I’ve cooked to keep track of how I’ve improved/regressed and to make it easier to show people. Heeeere’s some of them!

Gotta start with the crowd favorite. The crust is self-made, too!
I admit, the buns are store-brought, but the patties are self-made. Who needs Hesburger anyway?
Cheesecake is one of the first cakes I ever learned to bake since it took me forever to learn to make sponge cakes well. Still has a soft spot in my heart. This one's mango-flavored.
While these things (Called "Bebe" in Finnish.) are kind of a long-con to make at home, you end up with such a huge batch that the price they'll ask for two in stores is kind or ridiculous.
These things are called Hanami Dango, they're steamed rice flour balls. I'm a big fan of unconventional sweets, so I just had to try making them. Pink is strawberry, white is vanilla and green is green tea flavored.
This kind of flan might not be resistant to physical attacks, but it sure is tasty!
There's nothing short about these shortcakes. You can't see it in this shot, but it has thin baked meringue-covered layers inside!
And yet... Sometimes it's the life's simplest foods that are the best. 'Tis a shame that fresh corn is so hard to come by in Finland.
